Hi, today we have released K3b 1.90.0 which is a Release Candidate for 2.0 version. You can grab the sources here.
Basides bugfixes the main change is that K3bSetup uses KAuth now. That means kdelibs 4.4 are required to build it. If you want to build K3b with kdelibs 4.3 you’ll need to disable K3bSetup at configure time (pass -DK3B_BUILD_K3BSETUP=OFF option to cmake).
I would like to thank all users who took a time and filled bug reports. Without you K3b wouldn’t be as stable as it is now.
We plan to release the final version on March 15.

Dude, when you announced the the last beta unexpectedly, I thought: “OK, that guy is still fresh. Mistakes can happen.”
But now I’m really pissed. With the release of the beta, you announced a string freeze. And now what?! Changed strings!
And after I wrote last time that it would’ve been nice to be prepared earlier for a new (pre-)releases, you wrote “I will try to do better next time”, but it’s exactly the same again! I didn’t subscribe to the K3b mailing list just for fun, goddamnit!
I also didn’t file https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=227729 just that you still don’t package k3bsetup.po, libk3b.po, and libk3bdevice.po!

1. I’m not the one who broke string freeze. Besides, there’s not a lot of those strings AFAIK.
2. A month ago I’ve announced when the next release will be. I’ve sent announcement to l10n mailing list, I’ve filled estimated release date here: http://techbase.kde.org/Schedules/Extragear, isn’t it enough?
3. It turned out I didn’t run release script properly, that’s why only k3b.po has been packaged. It will be fixed in RC2.
4. Calm down. It’s only RC, not the final. And yes, I do mistakes.

Markus, there is no reason to take this tone. It was me who broke the string freeze. Michal has done a great job with K3b. So stop attacking him.
I finally found a little time to work on Blu-ray support for K3b but since I am a bit out of the game did not think about the string freeze.
So I am sorry for that.
An apology to Michal would be appreciated though.

RC1 finally. Final release?
I am still using 1.68. Hopefully Kubuntu developers will include newer version in Lucid in not sooner.
